  • Day 1: Cusco - Pukutuni School – Pucaccocha.

The pick up will be at 4 AM, and it will be a three-hour trip until the beginning of the trek at the Pukutuni School. Here you can enjoy breakfast and meet your crew: chef, support staff (porter) and muleteers. It will be a three-hour walk to your lunch spot in the town of Upis, at the foot of the Ausangate mountain. After lunch, you will go uphill for another 1.5 hours to the first pass called Vicuña Pass (4850 meters) and then about 3 hours to your overnight camp in Pucaccocha. Along the way, there are stunning views of the valleys, waterfalls, and glacial peaks. Elevation of the beginning of the trek: 4200 m. Walking distance: 16 km.

 

  • Day 2: Pucaccocha - Paso Cóndor - Paso Alpaca - Lake Sororni.

After an early and nutritious breakfast, you will continue the hike with a 2-hour climb to the Condor pass (4900 meters). Along the way, you will have magical views of the Ausangate mountains and lagoons and maybe see some llamas and alpacas. Then it's a gradual downhill walk for 2 hours to our lunch spot. After lunch there will be a small climb to the Alpaca pass (4950 m) where you can see a small part of Rainbow Mountain. After another hour of hiking downhill, you will arrive at tonight's campsite. Here you will experience one of the most beautiful places to admire the Andean sky. Walking distance: 08 km Camp elevation: 4700m.

 

  • Day 3: Soroni Lake - Rainbow Mountain - Kayrawiri.

Spending the night in the mountains means that you will be one of the first to reach the colorful Rainbow Mountain. You will once again enjoy a good breakfast with hot drinks to start your morning. You will walk 2 hours, gradually uphill to reach this famous mountain. On the way, you can see some wild vicuñas. Upon arrival the views will be impressive because it will be very early and you must take spectacular pictures of all colors. Your guide will explain about the colors and minerals. Once you are ready to leave, you will go down 1 hour to the end of the path where you will say goodbye to your trekking equipment and continue from this point only with your guide. Then it will be a 3 hour trip to Cusco. Hike: 6 km. Elevation: 5030m.
